Welcome to the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Environmental Engineering

The Department provides the research framework for the engineering study programmes in Medical Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering as well as the Chemical and Biological Sciences programmes. The Department is the main player, both for the joint Bachelor programmes and for the different specialisations within the area.

The Department belongs under the Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University and is located at Aalborg University's buildings at Sohngaardsholmsvej, at Aalborg University Esbjerg (AAU-Esbjerg) and at Aalborg University Copenhagen (AAU-Cph) with campus in Ballerup .

The Department educates each year approximately 50 Masters of Science in Engineering and 10 Bachelors of Science in Engineering who with their knowledge help to solve some of the many challenges facing humanity today. From the increasing climate problems to the fight against incurable and chronic diseases.
