The research focuses on the utilization of "green plants" (ie plants in active growth, such as lucerne and clover grasses), with optimal climate and sustainability profiles, to extract proteins for feed and food, before further utilizing the residual solid and liquid biomass fractions in various ways, see figure. We have developed various methods for recovery of proteins including a lactic acid fermentation method and a membrane filtration method.
